LOSANNA - Aquatis, il più grande acquario - con annesso vivaio - d'acqua dolce d'Europa aprirà i battenti al pubblico sabato a Losanna. Ospita circa 10'000 pesci che vivono in Europa, Africa, Asia, Oceania e Sudamerica.

Nell'edificio a sfera, ricoperto di scaglie argentate, i visitatori potranno osservare anche un centinaio di rettili e anfibi, ha indicato oggi Bernard Russi, patron del gruppo BOAS, uno dei principali investitori. Complessivamente, Aquatis comprende 46 acquari, vivai e terrari, per un totale di circa 3500 mq. Ispirata al cinema, la scenografia - precisa Russi - è totalmente immersiva e interattiva, grazie al ricorso a tecnologie digitali innovative.

L'affluenza è stimata dai promotori a 450'000 visitatori il primo anno, una cifra che dovrebbe scendere a 400'000 negli anni successivi.
