Field Guide to the Spiders of South Africa - Ansie Dippenaar-Schoeman
I believe this book is now out of print, but is well worth tracking down 2nd hand
A comprehensive work on the Spiders of SA.
First chapter deals with general spider behaviour - breeding, webs, venom etc.
And then there is as genus by genus account of all known genera in SA, with many species photos, distribution maps etc.

Re: Field Guide to the Spiders of South Africa
This info. comes at a very opportune time for me, as I saw so many spiders recently in Kruger. Will definitely look for a copy.
Thanks so much for the info. Dzombo
