Firstly, thanks again for all the comments. :ty:

What a morning it has been. I've had Hippo, Giraffe, Warthog, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck, Zebra, Squirrel and Dwarf Mongoose clearly visible at the house and Hyaena audio close by. \O

It's the Hippo that takes the cake! I heard a weird sound outside my bedroom window just after 06h00. I went to the window and this is what I saw...

I quickly went outside and sneaked around a wall, I was now face to face with the Hippo...

He then moved away slightly, here you can see the garage door in the background...

All this time he was watching me closely, suddenly (as I expected) he charged at me, I turned and ran up the stairs, out of reach. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs next to my car, then turned and made off towards the river...

That was a proper adrenaline rush! O/\ I'll be on drive tomorrow morning and hopefully get good sightings and photos. Till then... X#X
