For your first photos with the new camera your photos are brilliant. Wait until you start learning what the 700D can really do.

Luck seeing the clawless otto - we still have to see one there.

I have been playing around with the camera and there is so much it can do - but whenever I am photographing animals I just click away and there is never really time for me to change settings etc.!

So the Brat told you about one of the firsts - our otter sighting!! He is obviously a champ at spotting otters! -O

A very young Black Wildebeest who was mingling with the zebbies instead of his own kind. This pic was taken through the windscreen so not great.

This Wagtail was hopping around on the reeds floating in the water.



Another hornless beauty…better than the alternative!



I think this is a Longtailed Widow…you can just see a speck of red on the shoulder.



And that was our trip to Rietvlei…quite successful for just a couple of hours.

The Whydah is a Pin-tailed - black legs. Shaft tailed would have red/pinkish legs. Head markings also give it away.

Agree on the Widow.
