Another species to be found really anywhere, and increasing in numbers, IMO!

A lot is said about them prefering riverine vegetation, but one must also remember many of Kruger's popular tourist roads run along watercourses!

Impala density counts a lot, I think, so South of Satara would be best, especially the Southern District.

Also the dirt roads along the Shingwedzi river, in my experience!

To me it is still the stretch between Tshokwane and Satara.
Had 5 Leopards there in total

I have not posted here lately, as our last trip was in July last year.

However, we had a splendid trip in January.

Always see the Skukz leopard - this time around too. Leaving Skukz, as you turn left towards the Sabie road, you can start looking. We've seen it crossing the road (twice now), and twice in a tree. (The interaction was too quick, no pics).

On our last morning, we left Skukz first in line. We found two leopards on the P/K road approximately three kms from Skukz. In the road. Just lazing around. What a terrific sight it was. (Apologies, the picture quality is very bad. We did not want to use the flash, and spoil the sighting for others that were behind us). The male got a bit skittish and moved into the bush on the right. The female remained on the road. This was the sighting of the trip.

Uhmm, that is, apart from the three cheetah brothers that we saw every day... once hunting. But I will post that in the appropriate thread.
