Boom gates for IPZ

This to me seems odd, I get the idea of the protection zone, just don't get the permanent boom. Unless it is manned it is useless and if it is manned then why have a permanent one.

Sad part is its position, it is between Skukuza and the IPZ, ie an admission that staff are involved big time in the poaching.

Well , I read it that it will be closed ( and probably locked ) during after-hours , and will be managed by the rangers . No need to man it during after-hours .
Certainly it will ( should ) assist in control of vehicular traffic during after-hours :O^

I read that Okie, however I do not believe an unmanned boom will be a deterrent. They will just break the lock or the boom to get through or even drive around the one, the other appears on the bridge. -O- -O-

Don't know if it's the IPZ...but something at least! Too many people driving around after dark, IMO.

These are the two tar routes leading to the North from the South.

I could get more info, but would rather leave it...
