Kgalagadi Leopard Discussions

Post by Mel »

Compilation of KTP Leopards

This is a project by Matthew Schurch and others who are trying to find as many
leopards in KTP as possible to create a comprehensive booklet for identification
and a scientific study of the leopard population in KTP in general.

Everyone is invited to use this booklet to try to ID the leopards they have seen.
If an identification is successful, Matthew Schurch would appreciate if you could
provide the date, time and location of the sighting and a brief description of the behaviour.

Photos are welcome as well. They might be used to improve existing ones or in case
you saw a leopard that hadn't been seen before.

Maybe you'd better take a bit more time and do it little by little. Nobody is coming after you 0/0

From my recollection (often faulty O** ), we were the first car to see him, then a second car appeared behind us and quickly spotted him as well. While backing up, we stopped to inform another car (4th one??) of what we were seeing....which one were you? -O- -O-

Since I have no idea of what you "guys" look like, I suppose we interacted at some point 0/0 We were in the Honeymoon tent and totally missed the leopard sightings of Itumeleng at the waterhole on the night of the 16th. You'll NEVER guess what I was busy doing 0*\

Sitting outside in the car enclosure taking pics of insects <zz> 0- Even ones engaged in Klippie's Giggle of the Day activities O** O** .

After all, it IS the HONEYMOON tent. 0/0 0/0
