KTP - Kalahari Tented Camp

Post by Mel »

Here are some photos of a Desert Tent (DT2) for two people.
You can also get a Honeymoon Tent (HMDT 2 - 1 unit) or a Family Tent (FDT4) with a double and a stack bed.

The prices for the DT2 and the FDT4 currently are R1250.00 per night, R1410.00 for the HMDT.

Through the poles you can see the bathroom. No door there but the loo got its own door.

Kitchen:

There should be two chairs at the table, but we took them out because there were none there.

Patio / Deck:

There is no table in the outside area either. Because we didn't want to handle the beast from
the kitchen we settled for a smaller, lower but lighter coffee table from the bedroom.

The view on the waterhole - with the waterhole being rather far off.

This is unit 6, and as Duke suggested somewhere else: it at least got an unobstructed view
to the waterhole. And no. 7 does as well \O

Try to find the waterhole in the pic above and you get the notion of the distance between
camp and waterhole. ;-)

The neighbourhood does look nice so when the sun is about to set:

Does anyone happen to know which numbers the units for the mobility challenged have? There are two tents, but I don't know which of them.

Enquired at Mata Mata and it's tent numbers 13 and 14.

Btw, the lady at the reception desk - Loretta - is an absolute star. Emailed her twice over the last week and always got a reply within 15 minutes! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^
