Interesting story . The little cub was really very bold and adventurous -- strong genes there \O

And emphasises this statement : Kevin Leo-Smith, a resident of Leadwood Big Game Estate and conservation manager of Rietspruit Game Reserve, had this to say: “Wild lion cubs have a high mortality rate, and we usually do not interfere with natural incidents such as this, because it is important that nature takes its course. This is how nature determines which individual animals survive the rigours of life in the bushveld, ensuring that the species as a whole benefits by way of natural selection.

Really sad then , that hunters usually select the biggest and strongest :-( .

We once stayed next to a guy in Lower Sabie that was driving a fancy Jaguar. He was complaining that when he drives too slow it overheated =O:


Next trip to the bush??

nan saw a leopard close to hyenas that were sleeping next to the left overs of a kill in the KTP once.
Seems not impossible. :-)
