Greater Limpopo Carnivore Programme
FB Post

It's World Lion Day!

We're dedicating today to our incredible Limpopo Lion Protection Unit rangers currently on deployment in Limpopo NP safeguarding the lions there from targeted poaching.

It has been a difficult year but also an incredibly productive and inspiring one for us all here at the Greater Limpopo Carnivore Programme.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support!

Its the lions bred in captivity who still get poached even though the "lion farmers" would have us believe a legal regulated program is good and controllable .Same for Abalone that is legally farmed/harvested and millions are poached same will be the story if they allow Leopard bones and same for Rhino trade .... It is much easier than wild lions and for the bone trade they are fine 0*\

I wonder how many more April's this old man will still be able to share with me ..I will have to find a new late night Braai cleaner when he is gone image needs a click on to get better colours...120 secs until the brand new sunrise gets its rays to where he and I were sitting discussing the world's problems ..Best light in any 24 hour period
