Judging by LH shoulder mass, tusk curviture and taper plus bushy tail tuft it looks like either Hlamvu or Kumba.

I wonder if it's one of the tuskers. His left tusk if very curved and there are not many tuskers in this area with such a curved left tusk. From behind a tusk always looks longer so I really can't say it's a tusker. I know there are several bulls with nice tusks in Mopani region. I wonder what happened with this bull. I will try to find out. If I have news about this I will post it here.

Lis, scavengers start eating at the soles of the feet, ears and trunk, and anus. The soft parts. In fact regarding ellies they may not be able to get much further at all for a while due to the thick skin.

That's not what I asked and I am not sure that the leg is a soft spot, where the intestines are, it is much softer. With the blood all around the leg I thought that it might be an explanation, but I am probably wrong
