Your winter usually isn't minus degrees - or is it? :-?
I would think, it should be able to make it. Maybe needs a bit of extra food. -O-

Lovely little parakeet STF - hope it stays strong.. ;-)

Mel, in Johannesburg we could go to -1 at times, but it doesn't last for days.

Here are some of my recent garden pics..

Thanks very much for the positive comments everyone.

Mel, here in Pretoria we hardly ever go below 0 degrees as we are slightly warmer than Johannesburg.

I am sure the little fellow will make it through winter.

Unfortunately we will not know as we have sold our house and move out on Monday 7 April 2014.

Our new home only has about two trees in the garden so our chances of seeing lots of garden birds is remote.

There is room for a lot of birds in two trees, bird bath etc. ;-)

We had 5 grey hornbills in our garden today. Unfortunately I could not get all 5 in the same photo. We seem to think that it is Mom and Dad and three kids - do GHB's have three chicks?

Here are a few of the photos I managed to capture in the early morning but please excuse the busy background.

It was really heart sore taking these photos knowing that we only have 5 more mornings in this amazing garden of ours.
