Go back, take a leaf and brake it to check if there is latex and check the bark

Sure that there are no Combretum-like fruits (maybe high up)?

If you want ID for a winter tree you must provide some good data

A good photo of leaves should also show how the leaf is attached to the twig and upperside plus underside

It may be Tamboti, the young trees have grey smooth bark and the older trees -O-

Or there are different trees in a clump.

Go back when there are fresh leaves, flowers and fruits lol

Ok, don't think tamboti, as it was alone and there were tambotis in a clump nearby at the spruit?

Will wait for summer! \O
