This one has been been worrying me , because I have seen it before . Therefore now confirm that indeed it is the Three thorn ( driedoring ) - Rhigozum trichotomum - it occurs all over in karroid vegetation .

Can anyone help with an ID for this daisy? Seen at Strandfontein (Cape Town) in late September 2016.

Hello Africa Wild!
I have been trying to identify the following plant type which is very predominant in the Northern part of Uganda. The plant has some large brownish tubers below ground that grow bright green legume like leaves during the start of the rainy season between April and July. Pictures of the plant taken mid May are shown below; These pictures were taken from this specific location;

The plants dry out around August to October , only to regrow again at the start of the wet season. The bulbs appear to last for a significant number of years in the ground. I am a farmer and sometimes we carry out bush clearing around the farmland. For this plant, the only way you can get rid of it is by removing the large tubers underground. I do not want to clear out this plant only to realize later that its good for the soil like legumes are or something like that! Kindly help me identify this!

It looks like one that I had, when I had a huge garden; the rootes running for kilometers ;-) under the ground. Most likely not the same, but it made me go 0-
