Aha, "Wag 'n bietjie" means wait a bit, as the thorns keep you, but why buffalo thorn? -O-

I tried to find out, to no avail.

My story is: This is a very good tree to hide in or behind when you are chased by buffalo.
Or: This is a very good tree to build a kraal to protect your homestad from buffalo.

However, why not lion thorn then :-?
