The seed is not 4-winged
This fruit is a small nut in a flat pod. This fruit has a flat wing (or two wings) surrounding a hard seed. The wing becomes about 4 cm long and 2.5 cm wide.
The fruits dangle in clusters on stalks of up to 5 cm and may remain on the trees until the new flowers appear in the next year.
The trees shed the leaves in July/August. New leaves grow crowded at the branch-tips (the scientific genus name refers to this fact).
The bark is dark and deeply, longitudinally fissured.
That's what you can see and it is good enough for identification. But it is easier to ID this tree when it has leaves - another iconic tree.
