Update
The R536 between Hazyview and the Kruger suicide Gate in Mpumalanga has been completely closed due to flooding. Motorists are advised not to take any chances, they must use alternative routes instead. #sabcnews

lol Don't let's get this wrong, it was not my translation, it was the translation on Facebook ;-)

This is the original:

"From Zandra du Toit

Reen baie in Hazyview. Hierdie is die pad tussen Hazyview en die Kruger hek oppad na Kruger Nationale Park"

Advice please

Post by MikeGoss »

The SO and I are returning to Kruger, arriving on Sunday 24th March and staying at Malelane Camp for our first few nights. Main ask is how is the Schoemannkloof (spelling??) Pass. Heard somewhere that there are " stop and go " issues. Should we take the old road past the timber factory instead??
We are in the Park until 8th April, so if Flutterbye is around, we might just be in a rondavel next door. lolololololool
Thanks

Mike

Hi Mike!! 0/*

Unfortunately we won't be there at the same time! :-( We were there in January and took the Schoemanskloof road on the way down. There were two stop and go's but they didn't hold us up for long...10 minutes at the most at each. On the way back we went via the timber factory. There were a few trucks but nothing too hectic.

Hello, Mike! :-0

Ja, the stop and goes are on Schoemanskloof, so maybe tunnel better?
