so.....

there used to be road and a little loop/viewpoint here before the floods in january......

and i cant remember ever seeing these huge boulders here, but i doubt that they were deposited by the floods...

i think they were covered with soil and grass which has been washed away to leave them bare.

there is now new water feature on the south eastern section of the bridge..

a favourite look-out point at the top of the wall for the giant and pied kingfishers.......

and take note of the serious erosion that has occurred as well

it is quite astounding to see the height of the "flood line" of all the trees and branches

deposited with the flotsam from the flood all the way along the banks of the sabie river.

the way that the entire river bank has been re-landscaped with sand bars and beaches is amazing.......
