My rarest sighting on this road was an eland, believe it or not!

It was around the turn of the century...a loner quite far off on the Lebombo side coming downhill south of Nkumbe!

Tsessebe were regularly seen until they died out around the 1990's...mostly around Mlondozi, although I saw one once within sight of the low-water bridge!

Sable were once commonly seen, also in the Mlondozi area, and are making a comeback in the Salitje area!

If one checks trip reports from various places over the last 5 years or so, the regularity of Serval sightings along the H-10 is remarkable...certainly the best road in the Park to see them...no idea why? :-?

I can only think it came from some game farm on the Moz side, or the Sabie Sands side...they can travel remarkable distances! -O-

Some of my H10 sightings :

I saw some kudu in the distance and wanted to reverse, keeping my eye to the right side where I saw the kudu. I nearly reversed into this kudu bull as it was crossing the road RIGHT BEHIND my car 0*\ Goodness, I got such a fright with all this brown in my mirrors!

April seems to be the time for us to see tortoises \O

The baboons always seem to be full of fun..
