Flavour of the month - Aug 2012: Sable Dam

Post by Flutterby »

Sable Dam

From Nigel Dennis - Where to watch game in the Kruger National Park:
The H9, leading to Phalaborwa Gate offers a long drive on easy tar road. The route is best avoided at weekends as it carries a lot of local traffic from nearby Phalaborwa. Although it is unusual to see big numbers of game, covering such a lot of ground guarantees a few rewarding sightings. A short distance beyond the Masorini Archaeological Site, the short S51 loop, which passes Sable Dam, is a worthwhile diversion.
