This makes me ever so thankful that we can now go during school terms.

=O: =O: I was there a week before the school closed - and you wouldn't know the difference. 0*\

Maybe these should go under "congestion"? \O

I'm sure more will come out as others report back?

Spent a week in Kruger from the 21st to 27th Dec.

There was a lot of congestion. But it seemed sporadic.
On the Skuks/lower Sabie road, there was a traffic jam at almost every sighting. 0*\
But then on the next day (a public holiday) there were only 3 cars, including myself at a lion sighting.

And when you go outside school holiday time you get the older people (pensioners) driving fast. What beats me in town you will find them doing 40km/h but in KNP 40km/h isn't fast enough for them.

And yeah you also get people trying to pass you if you doing 40km/h on a dirt road. We had a guy in a ML merc pushing me off the road during December because I didn't let him past when i was already doing 40km/h. @#$

Next trip to the bush??

Let me think......................

Don't generalize, Alf :X: I am sure that not all the persons, who are not working any more are speeding. You must have met someone who has annoyed you in this sense lol

Less traffic in Kruger (well, usually at least) makes for safer driving than in the city for the oldies, I guess.

We were lucky with School Holidays as I chose to work at a big Private School in G'Town and they had 3 term hols ...So late April Early May was always KTP and Aug was always Kruger/or Etosha ...Quiet as possible and no Jul School crowds
