I blame that sighting appRogerFraser wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 7:57 pm
we had exactly the same especially if they sleeping or resting .We sat at one WD sighting in between Orpen and Satara for 3 hours one day and hundreds drove up stopped and left . Eventually the rest of the pack appeared out the bushes and they all got up and greeted each other and the 3 hours wait was worth every minute . Think the problem is that the modern lifestyle demands instant gratification and old style patience is not taught anywhere .

It's allowed to take photos all over, but without flash, Dzombo

Re: Congestion at Sightings
I was at this sighting!
There were 2 lions in the road. And one on the left hand side just off the tar. Must say, most people were well behaved.
A car from one side would drive through the lion "chicane". Stop for a minute or two, and drive off. And then a car coming from the opposite direction would to the same. We drove through and then stopped a little way down and watch through our rear window.
It was all working quite well..................until one idiot stopped in the gap, switched off his engine and just sat there. And of course no one else could get through. Lots of irate people. Especially the jeep jockeys who couldn't give their $ paying customers prime view.
At this point we left.

Re: Congestion at Sightings
I must say, that of our predator sightings:
Lion = 17
Leopard = 2
Cheetah = 1
Hyena = 5
Only 2 were a bit chaotic (this one and a leopard near B & D)
The rest everyone was well behaved.
