What is the situation/progress with the proposed hotels in Kruger?

In this respect, the appointed developer, seemingly cannot foot the bill
with finance regarding the said Safari lodge endeavor!!!

With little time on hand, no more than some weeks, can the developer
cover costs i.r.o. future development, this whole venture go back to square
one!!! Seasonal change in nature necessitates this!!!!

SP will probably use our tourism money to force this through...while Rome is burning...hopefully they give up, though, but that is not the mentality, I'm afraid.

With all due respect, said developer has made it clear that
whatever from here forth, the current EIP to conclude the
practice, for said persons doing so, are of standing ethics!!

Such will be called back to conclude and finalize for the better!!

Just sad too see so much input/expertise go to such waste!
Even Sanparks are bouncing up and down, yet what the hell
did they expect!!!! Snap of the fingers, turn about eco-tourism!

Not that easy, hopefully the world are becoming weary of your
intent Sanparks!!!!

A programme is being advertised on ENCA to be broadcast on Friday evening (7th March) at 19h45 - its called Earth Watch and it is supposed to be addressing the building of the Hotel on the Timfeni loop. Just from what I heard it is coming across as a done deal!

AW contacted the editor of that programme a few weeks ago, but it had already been completed. Will try to inform her of above developments..a very nice lady!

Also rumours now that the costs of the Skukuza hotel have almost doubled over the previous estimate budgeted for by SP in the 2012-13 year, for various reasons, (remember they foot the bill for that one), so it may also be in jeopardy...

I am fully aware of a meeting to take place between Mr Derrick Millburn
and Mr Peter Wright, on said issues.

I wish to stress here and make aware that the developer placed all
good faith into the EIP practitioner and after this weeks meet would
insist on Mr. Millburn's input whatever the outcome of said meet, purely
because of Mr. Millburns professional grip on this debacle.

Whatever the decision of ILA(EIP consultants) would be a said conclusion
regarding finance and the client(Sanparks) regarding this issue. All to do
with finance and finalizing of said issues, thus very crippling for any private
concern, regarding conservation !!

The big bear waved it's paw and seems to think/believe that we should be
at our knees bending in all respect.

Nope, in all respect, the big bad bear took a lot of honest folk, "for a walk"!!!

"A totally silly idea", best you go vest you're\
expertise elsewhere, only to be more practical,.

The Malelane Safari Lodge, a done deal? I am not so sure.
Fresh funding has been acquired and it seems that the
developer will go ahead with this project.The developer
has not withdrawn from this project due to the lack of
funding. The funding has not been finalized as yet and
this brings about a sense of urgency before the change
of seasonal cycles. This happens in early April.

Should this time constraint not be met then it means
either it rolls over till the seasonal cycle becomes in
favor again of the present studies undertaken or the
whole EIA process begins all over again based on the
new seasonal criteria.

The specialist studies have not been concluded and
for this only two weeks and maybe some days remain.

The specialist studies need to be funded and this still
needs to happen so as to revive the EIA process from
it's hibernation once again. A very awkward situation
for all involved and this needs to end.

People and institutions are under severe pressure the
way this somewhat absurd idea is playing itself out.
Perhaps a signal that this venture should not be real.

A done deal well,....?? time will tell.
