Riverbed cycle challenge in Kgalagadi

Post by PRWIN »

There is a cycle race coming up in September that should have taken place in March

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What’s at issue here is the 155-kilometre Kgalagadi Desert Classic Riverbed Cycle Challenge to be held from Union’s End to Nossob in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park from 21 to 25 September 2013. Isn't this incongruous through what the previous park manager called a park 'with an amazing sense of wilderness'?

Sorry, but now SANParks has completely lost its marbles!

Visitors are told not to drive up the ridges to get a better view because
it takes ages for the delicate environment to recover. And they let a whole
bunch of bikes into the riverbed??? (0) Seriously... 0- 0- 0-

This is sickening!

BTW, how are they gonna tell the lions that the moving objects are no prey?
Or are they just shoot every single one of them that tries to attack...

Also, I wonder what else there is in store for KTP. It feels like there is a huuuge
development plan which is published in small portions. So what's the next portion?
