Or too late or completely useless as things are changing every week

I have read about that too. But this cannot be a real problem. Because or you go back to the staff village or you go away completely

Not so! The workers are heavily unionised, and as Harry said a while back, they continue to receive full pay and good benefits. Firing a state employee is very difficult indeed.

Thats all they do since formalisation and uniforms etc ...Fund Raise (Read Round Table can doit better) and Clean ups ..Good and honorable but what about the current Letaba Freebie Residents are they too precious or something . In the late 60's and 70's there were just a few of us ..Appointed by National Parks Board (Not applied for a Possie to the NPB )Conservation Div under the Management of the Chief Ranger Dirk Ackermann..No Uniforms just a Member card and a Register you signedat gate of Kruger (No HRs in other Parks) We helped with all sorts of things ..I Helped with W Dogs and reporting on the situation out there after every trip. ..My little Red Flag was kept in the Cubihole of my car as I was onHoliday too ..Good ol Days

https://www.businessinsider.co.za/sas-2 ... now-2020-6
A number of public entities need money "to augment the operational budget and mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on operational activities and obligatory costs such as compensation of employees", the budget review says.
Four such entities will see a combined net increase of R1.1 billion in their allocations. They are:
The South African Weather Services
South African National Parks (SANparks)
The South African National Biodiversity Institute (Sanbi)
iSimangaliso Wetland Park
Here some detail on how the department organizes some money.
They stop the working for water programme which supports lots of jobs to have money to pay the SANParks staff, it seems."Our four entities - SANParks, SANBI, Isimangaliso and the Weather Service - all of which have a good record of revenue generation and financial self-sustainability, are unable to realise their usual income streams.
"In the first quarter or this financial year, our 'Working For' programmes were not able to operate due to lockdown conditions. By cutting back on now unachievable targets in this programme, we have been able to transfer R39m to the Isimangaliso Wetland Park Authority and R961m to SANParks," the Minister said.
Take it from the poor
