Last Saturday we had no power across swathes of PE so we took a very quick trip out in the rain to Addo. There would only be time to cover a few of the southern loops

The weather was really quite foul and we didn't see anything until past Peasland waterhole... most animals were sheltering behind bushes

Image

However up by Arizona we struck luck and found Josie, Dawn & Duffy on one side of the road with the remains of a hartebeest kill on the other side O\/ O\/

Image

Josie took a blow to her eye earlier this year and it's not looking great unfortunately :-(

Image

Dawn has always been the more skittish of the girls and seemed to be quite concerned about one of the passing vehicles lol

Image

Josie continued relaxing

Image

Duffy was flat out and gave us the paw :X:

Image

Dawn caught sight of something that had her attention but fairly soon she was also fast asleep so we left them to it to head home \O

Yes I'm sure she has no sight in that eye... but then she only had about 20% vision before the injury so she must hardly see anything now -O-

I often manage to skip this topic because I think it's the webcam thread (that I don't visit regularly) 0*\

Beautiful ladies [InLuv]

Didn't Josie struggle with her eye sight anyways? I seem to remember her being suspected to be nearly blind? :-?
Hopefully Duffy & Dawn will keep supporting her catching food. \O
