Removal of Ceiling Fans in Huts

Post by Richprins »

Has anyone else noticed over the last few years that some of the huts that had aircon and ceiling fans have had the ceiling fans removed?

This is weird, and wildly wasteful of electricity? :-?

They probably did not work or made a noise -O- They must have cut off the electricity that went to the fans, so no waste.

They did the same thing in some of the camps in the Kgalagadi - minus them having an aircon that is.
Problem was that electricity was cut off during the day to save batteries. But unfortunately, during
the heat of the day is when most people wanted to use them. So staff got stick for the fans not working.
Easy solution: Take them out. O**

Aircons use 100 times more electricity than fans.

Everything in Kruger has at least a fan, Mello! \O
