Wow, never knew there were so many cheetah moms with offspring around Croc Bridge ^Q^

We saw a mom with FIVE youngsters in May of this year in the same area. \O

The blurry pic caption is funny (see they are the fastest....) =O: =O:

Ja, Ex...I think the one with 4 cubs is the one with 5, same "supermom"! The cubs disappear for a bit sometimes, naughty!

We got back to camp before dark, and I doddled over to see where aat was! ..0..

Aat was still out on a drive, but how grand to find Elly again, for the first time in many years! O/\ 0/0

She looks younger every time, which is a a bit disconcerting, but there we go! :-?

She was slightly surprised to see me, and even more surprised that we were braaiing there that night. Aat had vaguely mentioned our possible presence, it seems. For someone who runs an internationally famous website he is oddly disorganised, but anyway... -O-

Elly was making chicken soup, and initially said get lost but I used my incredible charm to earn her admiration and she soon insisted we stay! O/\

RP: "Pleeeease can we braai here? Pleeeeaassee!?"

El: "No! Go away! I'm in the middle of making supper."

RP: "Pleeeaasseeee! I'll give you whiskey!"

El: "No! I don't drink and you reek."

RP: "Pretty Pleeeaassee! I'll just sit behind the fireplace and won't say a word and..."

El: "Are you crying?"

RP: "Yeeees... :-( :-( :-( "

El: "Ok then. :O^ "

aat eventually arrived. He was very drunk because they had seen a pair of rooikat on the way down that morning! O\/ O\/ O\/

But we chatted and caught up like nobody's business! X#X

It ended up being a 5-course meal...never had such a thing in Kruger!

Elly's soup to begin with! ^Q^

They are marvelous people and the more one chats the more one realises everyone is more or less the same around the world! ;-)
We got aat to eat something to sober up a bit. \O

And leachy was doing his thing with the chicken....been going on for more than 20 years now! lol

The next course was starters, honey-glazed pork riblets! \O

q3.jpg

Then main course, chicken, garlic bread and salads. Aat and Ellie didn't smell the food before eating as they had done at our previous meeting, so a good sign? -O- \O

q4.jpg

And after-dinner coffee and cigars and as dessert the present they had brought for us, or alternatively the Belgian Truffles that they had anyway. Delicious stuff! :ty: :ty: :ty:

q5.jpg

It was a truly wonderful evening and the problems of the planet were solved, as always happens!

And to bed!

The next morning...it is a bit disconcerting waking up to this, especially when one is a bit groggy from the truffles and salad... lol

Careful with the salad, it can create dependence and hallucinations
