Lisbeth and FB... sorry, FB is in the park.. -O Lisbeth you can have FB share of munchies... :-)

Mel - thanks for your comments - think we should have a X#X before the next lot of pics. :-)

Cheetah - great to see you 0/* 0/* - Each trip has it's own special moments... I learnt that from you.. \O

Would like to tell you guys and angels about Enud who made her first post on my thread.
We made friends in 1968 and have been close friends for always and always.
She introduced me to the forums.
She encouraged me to go to the pink meet last year, where I met up with BH, JN and Joekin.
She encouraged me to get a tent and ride the Kruger. Agree, she is a friend. 0/0

Final delivery on it's way. ;-)

We had some beautiful sightings on our different routes, and what made it more special is that everything was 'new' for Efjay.

We could not stop over at Red Rocks, but I managed a quick picture of what was beautiful to me.

Kanniedood dam needs some rain..

I loved having breakfast at Babala (and Pafuri :-) )
Image

The Zebras entertained us to no end. The leader approached us and started talking to us,
we were in stiches of laughter. I imagine he was telling us to wait. He looked back and the others did the crossing.
There were pictures taken as we were enjoying this surprising interlude.
He moved off still yapping away... think he was saying thank you.

Sweet nuthins...

The trees had dry pods in them, some were small and some bigger.
At times you would approach slowly because it really looked like a bird of a sort.
But there was this one tree, and I noticed that these pods had some tail-like thingies attached... :O^

This hyena was in such a hurry when it crossed the road in front of us..
but he took a minute to look back... the quality of the pic is al'a windscreen..
Image

Whoop, whoop... and then I saw a jackal.. much excitement..
Image

I was watching the jackal go on his way on a slow pace, when Efjay starting a nervous chuckle next to me.
I looked up and there to the left this giant was approaching. I sensed Efjay had frozen and was staring...

We passed many more big Ellies and I can truely say they are much calmer up North.

Thanks Efjay... it was fun having you on this trip

We extended our stay with one day and left the park for an overnight in Pala at Forever Resorts.
This was one fantastic trip which I would do any time again.
Thanks to MD and family O0
Roll on Desember.... \O

It was on the Kannidood road where I got charged by a young elephant and didn't even know where the Ellie was coming from  I could not see him! I just had to guess from the sound of the breaking of branches whether to go forwards or backwards! It turned out forwards was a good choice and it popped out behind me!
=O: =O: =O:

I think that there is an angry elephant bull resident in the Kannidood area.... =O: =O:
I made an extra good 2 point turn with him charging head on. - but that was the only scare.... except for...

One elephant was running for a dam.... think he was very thirsty... O-/
and then I realised I had stopped in his path.... but that was not a charge... =O: =O:

Thanks FB....still practising and reaching the 20,000 count. -O
