14 days in Satara? Isn't that camp a bit big and busy? :-?
Anyhoo, like the sunset - gorgeous! \O

It might be a bit busy, but there are routes in every direction! Many quiet dirt roads to escape on to! O/\ And great game viewing in every direction! Probably the best camp in Kruger for me! Especially for long stays at a time O:V

We are going up north for Christmas..Sirheni (6 nights) and this year we decided to give the ladies Electricity for the Fridge Freezer (made their lives much easier (one day when we are hopefully kitted out we will have solar panels etc ) and for the hair dryer etc)..Satara camp site was brilliant fora big camp..Nice neighbours and great night sounds at the fence...Lack of birds like Francolin walking about in the early morning though..I did find quiet roads by being at the gatea t 05h00 and 3rd in line everyday for 06h00 get out...Never did S100 early in the morning apart from the time when the lions killeda buff 10 metres from the road at the Frankel Cottage level the night before = North and so the whole camp went 500 metres north and parked ALL OVER in the veld the works...A lovely Afrikaans guy heard how we had the speeding SUV caught at Kingfisherspruit and really enjoyed the story...Cell phones are HELPFUL !!! so when he saw me later that day in the ablution block he said 'Waar was jy vanmore? Die mense staan in die veld en geraas maak' He told one rude bloke 'As daardie Engelsman jou vang dan gaan jy k.k!!!!'
