7 December
We wanted to make a day trip so we decided to go to Crooks Corner. The further we drove, the dryer it got.
This is one of my dad's pictures (mine didn't come out so good )
Buffalo blocking our way
We saw this black backed jackal at the side of the road with a bunny he caught minutes before we arrived there. At the other side of the road we saw eland but they were too far so taking a picture didn't help
Some ducks
Ellie
I think this was Babalala picnic spot
Ellie
Tortois
Mopani worm
Wart hogs
Kudu
Landscape (I think this was near Pafuri)
Wart hog
This was a mother nyala with her baby. The baby nyala was so cute. It ran around Pafuri picnic spot with high speed, playing.
Nyala
Baby impala
We arrived at Crooks Corner and found some nyala bulls there

Re: The OtHeRwIsE trip.....
8 December
It was a very hot day so whenever we stopped at a sighting, we almost died of all the heat -O
We went to Red Rocks and then just drove around after that. We saw a dead giraffe at Red Rocks with some vultures in the trees above it and some hienas in the distance.
Vultures in a tree
Hiena
Buffs in the shade
Ellies
Nyala (he tried to walk under a bush but his horns got a little stuck but he got out after a little struggle)
More ellies
Giraffes
Some buffalo crossing the road
Ellie in the water and drinking water (I tried to capture his water drinking movements in a few shots)
Ducks
Ostrich
Ellies
Bum shots of mommies and babies
Buffalo scull
Bushbuck
Collared lioness (the picture isn't very good. She was far)
Last picture of the day
This was our last night at Shingwedzi and it was also the night that we decided to keep open the windows of the tent for some fresh air. Just before 1:00 AM we heard raindrops. It made me very happy so I went back to sleep but the thunder and rain kept me awake. The rain also came in at the window of the tent (only on my side so I got a little wet. I phoned my dad to close the windows because I didn't have anything to dry myself with if I had to go out in the rain. The rest of the night we slept like babies -O
The following day was quite interesting...

Re: The OtHeRwIsE trip.....
9 December
We woke up and when we got out of our tent, everyting was soaking wet from the rain that night -O . We slowly started to pack everything wet on my dad's bakkie. When we were almost done, my sister called me and asked what was lying under the ground net. I looked and (because I was still a little frightened from the previous snake incident) I thought it might be a snake. My dad came to the rescue and and picked up the ground net, only to find out that it was SAND that was formed in the shape of a snake by the rain
After we had packed up, we set off the new day to our next destination: Satara
Ellie in the road (One of our first sightings)
My sister was tired so she tried to go back to sleep in the car. Just after she did that I saw something in the road and thought it was impala or something, but then when I got closer I saw what it was and immediately woke my sister so she could also see
This is what we saw and they were clearly on a mission
I never remember what bird this is
Side striped jackal
Giraffe drinking water
Somewhere near here we found a lot of elephants on both sides of the road with litlle ones too. It was very scary because they were many and it seemed like some of them wanted to charge at the cars on the road
Blue wilde beast
Zebra
Giraffe in the road
A dam near Satara
Bateleur eagles
Blue wilde beast and babies
Black backed jackal
More will follow soon...

15 December
Black backed jackal (the light wasn't good so the picture did not come out good)
Eagle
I think this is a yellow billed stork (if I remember the name correctly)
And I think this is a maraboe
And the last pic of the day...
We also saw some klipspringers but it was too far for my camera to take a picture . We also saw a dead lion
But the next day's events made up for it

Re: The OtHeRwIsE trip.....
16 December
We got up early to get packing to get on our way to the last camp, Crocodile Bridge. My mom, sister and me were driving infront. We got a huge treat About 10 km from Satara. We saw some cars that were standing still and saw hyenas that were busy eating a baby zebra. We also saw a herd of zebra running and when we looked again we saw some lions that were chasing away a cheetah After a while some zebras were chasing away the hyenas
Some landscape pictures
This eagle was hiding from me...
We then saw 4 rhinos within 1 km from eachother
Monkeys
Ellies
Giraffes
Landscapes
The last picture of the day
When we were on our way to Crocodile Bridge there were a lot of ellies on both side of the road and later we saw more ellies running across the road. That was pretty scary
I just want to say thanks to everybody that viewed and commented on my TT. I hope that you enjoyed it (even if the pictures did not come out...good... -O )
