Day 3, Monday 18 November 2013. Ngwenya Lodge -> Lower Sabie, Morning Drive continued and Afternoon Drive - for what it was worth.
At Duke waterhole a couple of Hyaenas were in a hurry to get somewhere.
A Leopard Tortoise was drinking.
And an Egyptian Gander was showing off to his Goose.
On the S137, a pair of Hammerkops at a natural pan.
No Leopard in the Leopard Tree this time
We stopped for coffee at Croc Bridge and said fairwell to our guests who were off to Skukuza for the night.
I tried my hand at getting some pictures of Hoverflies. They were so small that the autofocus was not seeing them and I had to go manual.
We had an uneventful drive up to Lower Sabie but at the bridge there was a Grey Heron among the sparkles of reflected sunlight.
A Common Sandpiper?
And a Yellowbilled Stork.
The weather really closed in during the afternoon. We drove the Munshe Loop, took a quick detour to Mlondozi Dam and back to LS.
The only thing worth pointing the camera at was this tusker, whom Aat has named Zambhala. It was almost dark when I took this picture at 17:22.
To be continued......
Hunting cannot be considered a sport as all contestants in a sport should know they are playing the game!
