Day 3 continuing:

Near Satara we saw a Bateleur in a tree next to the road, but I only managed to stop(with the caravan) when I passed it......Bookworm nearly bit my head of(her words......you missed the Bateleur reverse reverse fast 0= )....Ok reverse fast with a caravan!!!! 0- me nevvaaaaaa.... so I reversed very slowly and she got 2 pics, but then it flew away and after circling came and sat next to the road......best ever sighting for us of a Batteleur O/\ ^Q^

The bateleur is gorgeous! And love the colours in the Maroela sunset too. ^Q^

Funnily enough, I had the same thought as Toko... not martial... but I thought osprey. :-?

Just caught up Harrys.

Great sightings and a wonderful mix of different species. \O

Love the Young Sandgrouse, the Wood Sandpiper, the Bateleur and Martial Eagles. O/\

Also like your Waterbuck pics and the Olfants river view. O\/

Day 4 continues ......

Only photo of Lions near Girvana waterhole, one lady told us that when they got there 4 Male Lions was in the road stalking a Buffalo herd......they made a kill and then there was a stand off between the Lions and the Buffalo's, after a while the Buffs left and the Lions finished their meal.......then we arrived 0*\ 0*\
