Not smoking! That's a small piece of firelighter for the gas braais! \O

Notice Uncle Perfect and Prinswilliam in the background, preparing the feast! Pw's bloodied hand is obscured! :P

Amoli, I cannot ride a motorcycle! ;-)

Hello, Theuns and WD!

Day 2 Part 2:

A restful day... and a short afternoon drive after the morning's chaos, if that makes sense?

PW: "It seems as though I shall be your companion for most of the rest of this trip! Hope no-one get's hurt again! Prinsadam was quite wild last night, and tonight is our turn at cooking!"

RP: "Ja..we should be fine!...Look! An off-roader! Take a pic!"

Image

PW: "What's the problem!?"

RP: "One may not leave the road to take a closer look at animals! Death to this rulebreaker!"

PW: "But you do it all the.."

RP: "Silence! I am above the law!"

PW: "You do realise there are some lawyers in our crowd, and discussing the law may become detrimental to your..."

RP: "Yeah, right! What's the worst that could happen!"

PW: "Oh, look! A steenbok family!"

RP: "What?"

Image

RP: "You must be joking!"

PW: "Why!?"

RP: "Those are Impala! Do you have a problem identifying simple animals?"

PW: " No! You can see they are steenbok because they are stone-coloured!"

Image

RP: "Yes, but many animals are stone-coloured!"

PW: "Like what?"

RP: "Like lions, you idiot! O/ "

PW: "These are not lions...I think YOU have the problem!"

RP: "Can I have a beer please?"

PW: "What colour beer?"

Image

RP: "Ok...what animal is that?"

PW: "Bushbuck!"

RP: "Why!???"

PW: "Because it's in the bush, you nitwit! "

RP: "Is it not stone-coloured?"

PW: "No! It is striped! You don't get striped stones! O/ Are you blind?"

RP: "...."

Mercifully a peaceful shot without animals...

Image

RP: "Ok..let's try this...what tree is that?"

PW: "A baobab...you do seem to be struggling...that's obvious!"

RP: "Just checking!"

PW: "But it does have a rather stone....Whoooah! Why the sudden acceleration...????"

RP: "..."

Image

PW: "Hippo!!!"

Image

PW: "Buffalo!"

RP: "At last!!!! "

PW: "No! I just decided the last one was a buffalo, not a hippo! Don't want to seem silly, you know! "

RP: (Sweating profusely, eyes bulging, beer seeping from nostrils) "Now listen carefully. You are my younger brother, and your mother and family are a stone's throw away, but if you don't identify this thing correctly I'm going to smack you....very hard! It is a magnificent specimen, and..."

PW: "Warthog! "

RP: (Shuddering) "This one or the last one...?"

PW: "This one, of course! And I don't like your tone regarding threatening bodily harm or nasal beer splashing toward a sibling, and your persistent reference to stones, as this warthog obviously has no resemblance to stones in any manner, shape or form in terms of Section 28.4 of Act...."

And so my descent into numbness began...
