Bushveld Jock wrote:Busy catching up on your trip and sure will spot some doggies (only on 11 April). Its a pity we missed you by one week, but at least can caught on what happened on the south eastern side of the park. We were in Pretoriuskop until 4 April and before that at Shingwedzi.

Great sighting of HB and lions plus leopard near Lower Sabie. \O ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

O/\ O/\ O/\
Pity we missed you!
Bushveld Jock wrote:Snake and python in the bathroom must have been scary. Also the only camp I saw a snake (black red and white bands) coming out of the bathroom at the campsite. From then on I made sure walking with a torch at night. O-/ O-/

What a wonderful trip up to Tamboti and night visitors to end off the day. O\/ O\/ O\/ We stayed at Maroela end of March and wondered why we only see spotted hyaena and no badgers or genets. :-0 :-0 While we were there lots of worms in the trees and then you got the moths. lol lol

The H7 can be very boring, but when you think there is nothing the dogs rocked up. Great sighting of lions, leopard and dogs. \O

On our first day we found two overseas tourists stucked in the drift near Muzandzeni picnic sight. Had to pull them out as the wheel had no grip with the car properly imbedded on the sandbank. Must have been more accessable when you where there after the heavy rains the last week of March. ;-)
We sure did have a great trip with lots of excitement too. Sounds like you also had your fair share! lol \O

Catching up Flutts 0:

I see the ellies are still snoozing on the H4-1 O:V

Great badger sighting. They are a mission to photograph. =O:

Lion at last  You hadn’t been in the park that long O**

Wild dogs in the Tshokwane area O/\

Plenty lion on the way to Tamboti ^Q^ ^Q^

Pity about the stomach issues. It’s terrible feeling ill in the park O/

Fantastic night visitors at Tamboti O/\

I’m jealous of some of those leopard sightings :-0 :-0

More dogs ^Q^ ^Q^ Ja, April is the month for them and I’m guessing but we have seen a few mating in April over different trips, so maybe they are more active O** before denning ..0..

A great trip and pics ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

I, too, am catching up on TT I missed while away April/May, and yours is certainly chock full of wonderful sightings! ^Q^ WOW. Not sure you're gonna be able to top this one. You all must STILL be grinning ear to ear. :-0 :-0 :-0

Were all of you up almost 24 hours the first day??? Whew! 0:

I love seeing so many birds I've never seen, but especially like the Green Pigeon, the very handsome Squacco Heron, the African Hawk Eagle, and the Marico Sunbird. \O

The dragonfly on the turtle is like an optical illusion - can't tell the real size of either. Too cute. :-?

Too many wonderful shots to mention them all, but the agama with its crunchy lunch, the python on the tree is very artist with the various shades of browns, [O] and the leopard on the rock are special. ^Q^ ^Q^

Of course ALL the doggies and kitties are exciting, especially the 3 leopards, but I enjoy seeing genets (even ONE, much less 5!!), and the HB almost as much. O:V

The sunset shot with the Openbills at Sunset Dam and the waterbuck silhouette with the sparkling water are both very eye-catching! Excellent shots, both. ^Q^ \O \O

It's also wonderful being able to spend such memorable time with your loved ones, old and young. Tugs at my heartstrings. You certainly have a very special family and you're all very blessed to have one another. 0/0 So many don't.

Thanks so much for sharing your memories - now go make some more! ^Q^ ^Q^

BC, nice to see you around here again. \O Thanks for all the comments. It was another great trip!

Hi ExFmem, our first day is always a long day...not quite 24 hours but almost us! O** 0- We are very lucky to be able to spend time in the park together, and just so happy that the Brat loves it as much as my dad and I do. Thanks for all your wonderful comments and compliments. :ty:
