This helped a lot a few years back when some idiot in our group got the dates wrong and we arrived a day early... 0*\

Nice sunset pics again, and nice to see you have small and healthy bite-sized meat on the fire! \O
Yeah very small sized meat =O: =O:

Got those from the Spar in Phalaborwa \O

And if that field ranger has slept upright in the shower (or in a bath tub if available...)
I'm pretty sure there are tale telling signs for the next guests that the unit had been occupied but not take care of O**
Mel I hear what you say but a few years back we also stayed at Mopani and when Mrs. Alf wanted to use some pots she discovered a few dirty pots and pans that they have put back in the cupboard. She ended up washing everything she could find in that kitchen. lol

So again you wonder if that unit were used the night before by some staff member or did the cleaning lady not wash the dishes properly -O-

Alf wrote: Then when we realized Mr. field ranger pulled into the cottage next to us. (all by himself a 6 bed family cottage)

is this a problem if it is available ????

So my question once again......... did he pay for it

maybe he got it for free? maybe he paid? who knows???? is it that important as there were units available? if we don't know the circumstances behind him occupying the unit then................

The first thing I did was to check the availability sheets to see how many of these units were open that night

clever investigative stuff mr alf

3 of these cottages with a view were available and no 4beds with a view so I assume they gave this 6 bed unit to the field ranger to use for the night

So do they clean this unit the next day after he left or do they think it was unoccupied -O-

are there keys for the unit? if so, i am certain that housekeeping would be aware of the fact that the unit was allocated to someone
do you think that this chap just wondered around the camp until he found a vacant unit that was unlocked and just pulled in for the night ?

Maybe I don't want to know the answer of that question O/

I wasn't impressed to see this :-? :-? :-? :-?

but it was our last night in the park.

I totally understand that you are wary of the situation, but I'd put down to lazy cleaning staff... You do get that in every park, I guess... @#$ to those responsible!

Mrs. Alf and my heavy went to the restaurant after the braai

They saw this genet running across the wooden deck and up into the tree

Image

Followed by a quick honey badger

Image

Next morning we were up early and started packing

Saw these two baby vervet monkeys having a monkey of a time

First they were sitting with mom, looking so innocent

Image

Then the naughtiness kicks in and they chase each other around

Image

Then it's back to mom for comfort and protection

Image

Then it's catch me if you can

Image

Then a great hand off

Image

Then he grabs him and bites his ear

Image

and a smack on the head :O^

Image

Naughty little monkeys. So entertaining to watch

We drove to Mooiplaas waterhole for the last time

Image

And carried on until we reached Tihongonyeni waterhole.

Image

We turned around and headed to Phalaborwa gate
