N'Wanetsi Picnic Spot was pretty crowded and the smells from the breakfasts being cooked up were mouthwatering.
We, however, only took a quick toilet break and I had to wander off to soak up the views. Sometimes a girl needs
to get away
Hiking up I found this rainbow skink looking forward to its snack (not sure what that reddish thing really is?)
On the trip back, we found some nice people informing us about some cheetahs on the H6. We even found them
basically mainly because there were two or three cars parked where the cheetahs had been seen earlier, but
they were so far off that the boys didn't even manage to find them for quite some time Still, I saw them
and for photos I'll go back to the KTP again
My last photo of the day was dedicated to some ellies that were headed for Nsemani Dam.

Re: The Travel Tale that is exactly that...
That night the honey badgers were back with vengeance... And the only person to blame was myself...
Once again we had dinner on our friends' patio. But the fridge was soon emptied of the cold drinks so
I went to fetch more from our fridge... only to forget to close the boon / badger bars again
The noise was incredible... and the loss of food equally bad
But we did get a good look at the badgers and they even hissed at us
Later that night we watched them search another neighbour's kitchen worktop. They actually walked
on top of it But those neighbour had been a bit smarter than me and the badger had to leave
with unfinished business

Re: The Travel Tale that is exactly that...
The next morning was already leaving day. Four nights (that had meant to be five) were over and we were meant to in Cape Town later that day.
While our friends opted for packing up without any pressure, Spots and I needed to go on that last drive. Not that we saw much, but it's a ritual
that can't even be disrupted when being in a different park than the KTP.
A white-backed vulture
and my last lifer in the Kruger, a Leviant's cuckoo were my best haul.

Re: The Travel Tale that is exactly that...
And I did manage this travel tale before leaving tomorrow (Snap, Lis )
Thanks, PJL
nan, they raided the fridge. Milk was taken out and cut open with their sharp claws.
And apparently they love "La Vache Qui Rie" as well as gluten free choc muffins
Lis, I AM anxious to get back to the KTP for the solitude which still exists despite the park being fully booked
whenever we can go. And I'm anxious because of the better photo opportunities
