I could believe it was the beer but ja.......
Mentos are soft chewable peperment(or other flavors) sweets

Throw one mentos into a full 2 liter coke. There's a kind of reaction and the whole bottle of coke would rocket out of the bottle. I suppose the same reaction with beer
