By now, I'm generally quite alright with the fact that we never made the trip.
Tonight though, for reasons that I cannot understand myself, it is pretty sad again that we cannot be there. 0*\
Better again tomorrow. ;-)

This darn thing is not going to last forever. Maybe the next trip will be soooo much better ;-) \O

We have an October booking but by now I don't expect to be back before 2021. And we're talking August here, not our usual Easter trip. 0*\

Twelfth night @ - Urikaruus Honeymoon

One of the best things happening to us at the Honeymoon was the Kalahari Tomatoes nesting next to the stairways, right at the top. I took us a few times with us "running" up and down the stairs before we actually noticed them. After that we would always be on the look out if it was "safe" to go up and down. The pix I took was from inside. But I'm sure the crimson breasted shrike parent still kinda saw me. :X:

Back then we had six night in that unit and watching how quickly those birds grew was absolutely amazing!

It must have been great to see those chicks every day, even if terribly ugly......but the parents made up for that ;-)

Thanks for sharing these memories Mel, the photos are really awesome. \O

We have a booking for the park from 22 May to 16 June, and we are still praying that we will be able to go.
