37 different Cape foxes...
... but of course, I don't have photos of all of them. Some were too far off, some were too agile and some never wanted to move out between all the grass
However, the first batch we saw was around Rooiputs. They were rather close to the road - the only downside was that they were in the shade.
But it was great fun watching them and I felt for the mum who had to endure the antics of her five puppies. Dad kept a safe distance on the slope of the dunes
behind this den
The most I was able to get in one photo was four out of five pups...

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Then the milk bar was opened and after having had their fill, most of the puppies disappeared into the den.
Which was actually a good thing for us since we still had to get all the way up to Grootkolk and we might
have overstayed if the foxies hadn't finished their show

Catching up, Mello!
Those nipples look a bit tender on the mother...
Unusual action capture, I would imagine!

ExFmem and Pumbaa
Flutts, I took two so one wouldn't feel alone and there were five of them anyway. I added another two from a litter six a few days later and now they are all grown up
harrys and PJL
Richprins, not that unusual in the breeding season, but the Cape foxes were exceptionally early last year. Normally they only start 4 to 6 weeks later in the year.
