That male is up to no good But he IS a handsome guy
For the cheetah, I suspect Corinne, but must go and check to be sure.
Edit: Yep, it's her
Love that starling with the nesting material
Kgalagadi/Mabuasehube with Pooky and gang.

16th Sept
Our last full day in the Park. It was a bit cooler with a strong wind blowing.
It was very quiet until we got near 14th Borehole. There was a cheetah mum with 4 cubs.
She was quite far across the river and the light was difficult.
Two of the cubs.
Martial eagle surveying his domain.
Two black shouldered kites. I think they could have been juveniles.
A very sleepy spotted eagle owl
He managed to give us a little look. Mum was sitting on a nest across the road, but we couldn't get good pics of her.
We went towards Kamqua, but before we got there this old fellow was making his way to the waterhole.
He had a bit of a limp and a very dirty face. You can just see some blood on his paw. He drank and drank
then walked up and over the dunes.
We didn't stay long a Kamqua - too windy and a lot of people.
On the way back dad ostrich was taking the brood out for a walk.
The springbok were all lying down to try a get out of the wind.
Back at camp the starling were busy with their nest again.
and finally a full moon over Mata Mata.

Thanks for the ID Mel. I wonder who this is today. I think these cubs were a bit smallerMel wrote:That male is up to no good But he IS a handsome guy

The lions in KTP are good looking and generally scar free. Kruger lions have lots of bush to contend with.
The starling kept us entertained for a long time

Ja, and the starling kept you entertained even for another day
Like your raptors and owl too
Cheetah cubs are always cute anyways and they must be still the same as the day before.
At least the mum is
A bit of an interesting story about her and her sister Hanri: They both have cubs approximately of the same age,
Corinne 4 of them, Hanri 2.
Somewhen in November (don't recall the exact date from the top of my head) both mums must have crossed path up in the KTC / Mata area.
One night they were seen in the set up I just mentioned, the next day Corinne had only 2 cubs left. Of course, we had assumed that the other
two had fallen victim to the lions or leopards or such. But another few days later, Hanri was seen with 4 cubs all of a sudden She
happily accepted the extra mouths and still feeds them these days. They have grown quite big by now
