In contrast to Grootkolk, big herds of springbok visited the waterhole, some actually hung around for a bit.

What we were able to regularly watch at Uri were the falcons hunting the doves. I find it really fascinating and the ensuing fights between the youngsters for the food were highly interesting too. \O

Despite the fact that there was water all around us (even the old Urikaruus waterhole by the roadside was a large lake
at that time), we still had interesting animals visiting:

Charlie Fax and hubby were around most nights and my trap camera capture another lion and a spotted hyena at a time
that we were sound asleep. lol

We had a single good sighting of Hanri and her remaining cub. I felt a bit sorry for the little one who didn't have a play mate anymore and
had to entertain him-/herself with a part of a springbok horn and climbing trees respectively. In contrast to 2016, this sighting didn't last
long either. :no: Hanri pretty quickly called for departure. But at least she had had the decency to introduce her cub lol

Ja, Peter Hall told me he had a sighting of the two of them on the 20th June.
So there is hope X#X
