One evening trying to light the Braai the night we were the only residents in camp ..Jane spotted these 2 cats walking over and plonking down 50 metres from our tent ..I guess they were lonely too and wanted to socialise ..Rooiputs Camp site my favorite 50 hectres on Planet Earth (needs a Click for lovely sunset colours )

Yes they are very aloof ...After our Braai it was basically dark but we didnt want to bring nice smelling dishes into the trailer tent so we put them in the back of the bakkie in the locked Canopy ...30 mins later I shone a torch out and the lions were gone

Definitely the highlight of 2019 for Jane & I was our trip to Rooiputs in April where we had a delightful camp of 18 days and were joined by our friends for 10 days

The beautiful lions that wandered through our neck of the woods were really awe inspiring
