And so the experiment continues.
I got some low grills on legs. To put the burning coals on. Idea being that the airflow underneath would improve the heat.

Also, my r g charcoal had run out, so I ordered another 2 bags, but a different brand to last time. Opened it up and it wasn't what was advertised "on the can". It was 50% dust and shrapnel fragments. Had to use it as I had nothing else. And it burnt out in an hour. Totally useless. I have contacted the company telling them I want a refund, and they must arrange for collection if they want this crud back @#$

But we did have a good dinner

yeaah , you see , braaing is not necessarily about cooking the food \O There is a ritual about making the fire , getting it to the burn properly so as to make good coals , and the coals must not necessarily be very hot ....... lots of things :O^ And you can only get it right after many years of practise ;-)

So last night I had a bunch of friends over to watch the football
Plan was to have a braai afterwards. But with the match going to extra time, didn't have time to light it and wait for it to get ready. We were quite hungry by that point
So I cheated --00--
Used my gas braai instead O**

Got people over for dinner tonight - read braai
And son has some friends over tomorrow night, so will be another braai.

Will try different setups and see how it comes out. -O-
