Re: Beautiful 5

I've said this before somewhere, but when I was very young, I recieved a poster on endangered birds and vowed then that I'd go and see them all. I was 5 or 6 at the time.

There were many on the list, but the top five were (in no particular order)

Peregrine Falcon.
Cahow.
Steller's Sea-eagle.
Emperor Penguin.
Martial Eagle.

Only the Steller's to go and get now.

OK, not all African above, so I'll have to go for the top moments in Africa for me to date, all beautiful in my eyes.

Mammals.

Cheetah hunt for the grace, speed and balance.
Lioness backlit by low sun.
Reedbuck peeking over long grass.
Zebra mother & foal together.
Bushbuck Ram.

Birds.

Martial Eagle taking off.
Black-shouldered Kite hovering.
Lilac-breasted Roller anywhere.
Little Bee-eater hawking insects.
Orange-breasted Bush-shrike foraging.
