Thanks PRWIN. Ha ha, just a nice place to visit when you need a bush fix.PRWIN wrote:Great shots Flut's, do you live there now
Thanks RP. That looks more like a Scottie than a jackal to me!Richprins wrote:
That light is very good, Flutts, gets the wetness nicely, IMO!
It was one of our best Pilanesberg sightings.Pumbaa wrote:What a great sighting and shots with all the ellies and rhinos walking together, Flutterby

Re: Our Pilanesberg Adventures
By the time the ellies left, the rhino were really enjoying the mud.
The jackal was still in the same place.
We decided to leave them to it and go in search of some cats. I told Bea our best chance was to stick close to Mankwe Dam so we decided to do the Thlware Link where there is a resident leopard. We didn't find any spots, but we did find these cats enjoying a day at the beach. Bea was very happy!
We saw lions in the same spot in September 2013 at the AW meet, and I'm sure it's the same pride. There were 2 males and 5 females.
Some clouds blocking the sun.
Bookends!
The sun appears again.

The rhinos rolling in the mud are hilarious. Look more like warthogs. Have only been to Pilanesberg twice and enjoyed it immensely, so it's fun revisiting an old "friend".

Re: Our Pilanesberg Adventures
I missed this
I agree on the snake, black mamba
The 2 junior wildebeests are cool
I worked in the main hotel on and off at Sun city for around 2 years, so can tell you about a few secret spots
Vervet chowed the moth
Jezz, Brat is growing up
I also get bored at the fake beach, but it was cool after hours when they used to permit contractors and staff to surf
Wow, plenty rhino and ellies together
Cats on the beach
