Yes, there are and we normally see lots of ellies, so it was very strange to only see one.

That was it for our first drive. We contemplated doing an early morning drive the next day, but all decided we'd rather sleep in , so we only went into the park at about 3.30 pm.
Some dung beetles to get the ball rolling.
A Pied Kingfisher
A first for me in the Pilanesberg....Plum-coloured Starling.
A muddy rhino.
Then we came across a parked vehicle and spotted this before we had to ask what they were looking at.

The dung beetles must have had an organism when the big herbivores returned there after years of only buck etc!
