WoW Leopard and lions again, steamtrainfan :-0

Yes, I read about the killed rhinos which is indeed unbelivible - I was soooo sad and angry when I saw the pictures :-(

Great pics!

Looks like there are less flies and insects there than here in the Lowveld?

Rare hornbill stuff. \O
Thanks Richprins.

The Lowveld is well known for all its flies and insects. :-0 :-0

She did make herself available to us - she was an absolute star.

She seemed to love being in the limelight.

THURSDAY 12 OCTOBER 2017 PART 5/6

We had only travelled for bout 10 minutes when we saw Rains three youngsters - not sure which generation - in a lovely open plain. We could not get all three in one photo as there were pretty well spread out.

They were eyeing some wildebeest that were grazing and slowly moving toward them.

Unfortunately the sun was not in the right position and they were quite far in the plain so the photos are not of the best quality. We found a spot in the crowd and watched and waited.

Let the photos tell the story.

All the above took place between 17:00 and 17:45 when two took off but we could only keep the one in frame. The wildebeest must have been about 50 metres from them.

Did they or did they not catch dinner?????

To be continued.

THURSDAY 12 OCTOBER 2017 PART 6/6

Joan and I kept our cameras on high speed and held the trigger so that it sounded like a machine gun going off.

And finally:

No supper tonight. :-(

And that ends the most fantastic week we have ever had in our ten years of going to Pilanesberg.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, compliments and general remarks.
