To be honest I am not sure :-? But when the wolf starts killing the sheep, some farmer might get get real 0= and do it anyway even if they do get refunded by the State!!

Just had a look, the wolf is a protected animal, so it is not allowed to kill it \O

NON !
like Liz already said, there are protected ... by.... rules
each time, a hunter kills a Wolf, nothing happens O/

one of the last ones, is stuff, in the office of the "murderer", a well known person 0=

if it kills too much sheep, 10/20 I believe, the authority start to think to do something against this predator... but
one hunter (with maybe some friends), kills the wolf before négotiation start (relocalization or something else) O-/
and it's often Dogs who did the masacre, but now there is ADN... but too late... the hunters are already ready

a little bit like the Bear in Spring...
and also same for Lynx, but here is easier, often under the wheels of a car 0'

Now, you know why I hate hunters -O-
