WEEK 1 - 24 JUNE TO 01 JULY 2007.

Departed South Africa with Virgin Atlantic flight on 24 June 2007.

Monday 25 June 2007.

Arrived London 07:00 and met Kens new girlfriend - Renata - (now his wife). She is Brazilian and really wowed us out of our socks with her bubble personality.

Tuesday 26 June 2007.

Went for a walk around the neighbourhood and found this lovely park.


And a friendly squirrel.


Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 June 2007
Explored local area and went into London.

Friday 29 June 2007.
Flew to Ontario Canada to visit my brother and sister in law. Ken came with us while Renata stayed at home. Unfortunately she could not get leave.

Saturday 30 June 2007.

Watched the news of the bombings in London and Glasgow and went for a walk on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Sunday 1 July 2007 - Canada Day.
Went to the Toronto Rib Fest.

Monday 2 July 2007.

Today was a public holiday so Mike and Merle took us for a picnic to 50 Point conservancy.


Tuesday 3 July 2007 - Joans birthday.
Mike and Merle treated Joan, Ken and I to a visit to the CN Tower.

We caught one of those double decker trains into Toronto. Just look at the size of the locomotive compared to the people on the station. Quite an experience.


The CN Tower which is 553.33 metres high.

Wednesday 4 July 2007.
Went to Orangeville to take a ride on the Credit Valley Explorer train.

No photos.

Thursday 5 July 2007.
Went Crawford Lake where there is a re-constructed Indian village and then moved on to Springridge Strawberry Farm but unfortunately the strawberry season had just ended but still had a lovely lunch.

Walking back from the shops late one evening - yes one can go for late night walks - we came across a racoon and a black squirrel.




Tomorrow we go to Niagra Falls which will require one episode dedicated to this visit.

I think, I would have fainted before getting to create an arty foot pic like
you did. I'm afraid of heights (and it's getting worse the older I get )

Thanks nan. I must admit that I am only calling it a black squirrel because it is black and looks like a squirrel. I could be wrong.
